A computer network or data network is a
telecommunications network that allows computers to exchange data. In computer
networks, networked computing devices network nodes pass data to each other
along data connections. The connections network links between nodes are
established using either cable media or wireless media. The best-known computer
network is the Internet.
3G
3G Internet access is becoming a popular way to connect your PC to the Internet, now that prices have reduced to affordable levels. There other advantages too - 3G Internet connections do not require a telephone land line for installation like ADSL connections. Simply plug in a 3G USB Modem in your laptop and Surf the Internet.
Wireless Internet / WiFi
Wi-Fi, also spelled Wifi or WiFi, is a popular technology that allows an electronic device to exchange data or connect to the internet wirelessly using radio waves. The Wi-Fi Alliance defines Wi-Fi as any "wireless local area network (WLAN) products that are based on the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Bluetooth
Bluetooth is a wireless technology standard for exchanging data over short distances (using short-wavelength radio transmissions in the ISM band from 2400–2480 MHz) from fixed and mobile devices created by telecom vendor Ericsson in 1994.
Network interface controller
A network interface controller (NIC) (also known as a network interface card, network adapter, LAN adapter and by similar terms) is a computer hardware component that connects a computer to a computer network. Early network interface controllers were commonly implemented on expansion cards that plugged into a computer bus; the low cost and ubiquity of the Ethernet standard means that most newer computers have a network interface built into the motherboard.
