50 Users with no log on

Everyone can access any computer and the work might go missing, so everyone should have their own log on details.

Unrestricted internet access

Staff can access anything so they will have a lot of distractions and that can cause getting viruses to the computer etc...

Staff are allowed to install and remove software

People can install and remove any software then the software  has to be replaced, so only senior member of staff should be allowed to do anything with the software.

Data Tapes are kept secure in a plastic box in a hot area.

Data tapes can go on fire ad melt so should put them in a fire proof box or keep them somewhere else.

Keeping records in a databse and all staff can access it.

They are breaking the data protection act they should only let some of the staff see it and only certain staff should have access to it.

Email is available to all

Email should only be restricted to certain staff so if anything happens they will know who did it and because it is available to all they can download viruses, trojans and worms to the computer.

IP address log is not kept of sites visited

You can access anything without them knowing who it was and what you went on.

No Firewall

You need a router to protect the network and you should also have a software firewall to help prevent the spread of viruses.

No Restrictions on internet accesss

You can access any sites so therefore employees will have to many distractions because they can access anything on the internet.

Downloads are not monitored

Because of that people can download different viruses to the computer.

Entrance doors are not protected.

Anyone can access the computers and people's information might be stolen and because of that their breaking the data protection act.
